248/4 after 40 overs.

The Lankans are pulling things back a little....Big score coming up here.

Dravid and Dhoni at the crease at the moment.

The first battle of the blue...And the baby blues came out on top...

I hope the Sri Lankans can pull things together next time around.

India 350/6
Lanka 198/10

BIG TIME!!!

Losing their third in a row. But I must say, the Indians batted well. Especially Dhoni. He once again bludgeoned his way to a huge century. If only his keeping was up to scratch....India would have themselves a Gilchrist in the making.

Well....3 down, four to go. Steep up-hill climb for the Lankans. India with their tales up....

I wonder how the saffies will do over there next month...... Twisted Evil

Gibbs and Boje are not going I gather! Smile A little local difficulty. Yes Sri Lanka have lost again but this was a far better effort, by their batsmen at least. Now the bowlers have to get their act together. I was listening to the on-line commentary, nothing like being there though!

And I'm catching up on you at a rate of nots!

I reckon we'll have to move this thread to the SAfrican site. But you're right, Gibbs and Boje wanted a "neutral" venue for their "interrogation" (is that the right word)....Boje has always claimed his innocense, so I don't know what his problem is...

As far as Gibbs is concerned...Well, perhaps he better stay off the sub-continent.

I listened to the commentary on Friday, but somehow I couldn't get it on Monday....Pity. Well, still 4 to go. Hope the Lankans get it all together.

I had to pay for the commentary, so I make sure I get to listen! For $12 I get all seven ODIs and three Tests. The matches do start way too early for listeners in the UK but I'm up in time to hear most of the second innings.

And I'm listening now! It's looking pretty easy for India chasing 261 but a couple more wickets for Sri Lanka will turn the game in their favour. 177-4 off 31.

The India-SA series follows straight after, doesn't it, then India go to Sri Lanka to play 3 Tests, before hosting England in the new year! Very busy time for Dravid's men.

Sri Lanka fought back well there with Rao, Dravid and Pathan falling in quick succession, but 24 off 6 shouldn't tax India too much. So it looks as if they're about to wrap up the series 4-0.

Another very comfortable win by India after bowling Sri Lanka out for an inadequate 196. 5-1 to India now, just one to play and I reckon the Sri Lankans will be glad when this series is over.

Yep..The Sri Lankans under-performing here. Or are the Indians just playing good cricket again?

Anyway, the India/SA 5 match series should be a well-contested one. I hope.
