Could England break the barriers in this world cup 2007 if they reach the finals. England have never won a world cup final. Australia has won the world cup three times after reaching in 5 finals.
Australia won the world cups in 1987,1999 and 2003. In 1987 finals Australia beat England, in 1999 finals Australia beat Pakistan and in 2003 world cup final Australia beat India. Australia lost to West Indies in 1975 world cup final which was also first world cup in cricket. Then Australia lost to Srilanka in 1996 world cup final. West Indies has reached three times in world cup finals.In the first world cup in 1975 west indies beat Australia. In the second world cup finals in 1979 West Indies beat England. In world cup finals in 1983 in fact india beat West Indies. it was greatest shock for them as indians were not favourites to win it.

India has appeared in two world cup finals . In 1983 India beat West Indies as mentioned above. India lost to Australia in 2003 world cup finals. Sri Lanka reached only once in 1999 world cup final and they won it by beating australia. Pakistan appeared in two world cup finals. Just like Inida they have won it once and lost it other time. In 1992 world cup final Paksitan beat Engalnd. then in 1999 world cup finals Paskitan lost from Australia.

Now, England is the only team which has reached world cup finals three times and never won it. England lost for the first time in 1979 world cup final when they lost from West Indies. In 1987 finals England lost from Australia. Then in 1992 finals england lost from Pakistan. Let us see if England could break this barrier this time if they reach the 2007 finals. Hopefully English fans will pray for it.

No, I don't see England winning this WC. They performed pretty well against Australia in the ODI series but they just don't have the depth & experience to go all the way. I think they'll make the semis at the best.

Yes! I can see England getting through to the quater's if not further in the WC thanks to batter's like" luke Wridht, Darren Maddy,KP and much more......
