i agree, statistically Boucher is safe hands with the best keeping record bt averging 50 with the bat aswell places Gilly as the best.

I haven't seen Kamran Akmal play, so I don't feel qualified to pass comment on him or compare him with the other two options. Would you say he's better than his predecessors Moin Khan and Rashid Latif?

well, he's young right now and can't be judged just yet. we've got to see how he is in another 5 years or so. he is a great keeper but i won't compare him to latif or moin khan because its too early right now.

boucher is also a great wicket keeper. He is only 28. He has 300 ODI dismissals and 325 Test dismissals. Gilchrist has 358 ODI dismissals and 317 Test dismissals. So its quite a close one but Boucher will eventually end up with the better stats because Gilchrist is 34 and boucher is 28 so Gilchrist will retire soon.

See, the thing about Gilchrist and Ramdin is they are great keeper-batsman, especially Gilchrist. If you look at keeping only, I think Mark Boucher is the best keeper today.
But yea, you're right that Ramdin might turn out to be a great keeper-batsman. |
