He does excite the crowd though and he seems to perform in the big games!

I have to give him some credit and i still think that he has time to prove himself - comparisons to Botham perhaps when he has completed and illustrius career!

well, they both did something similar for their country, they both won the ashes for england. Garry Sobers says that flintoff is better and i would say he is better because he is young and can accomplish a lot more then botham. the other thing about being young is that he might deteriorate as he gets older and maybe his great form will go down. so maybe its a bit too early to judge flintoff just yet. lets see how he is in another 3 or 4 years. then we'll be able to judge him.

Yea, that's true. Flintoff got off to a slow start but he's improving now and he's really doing a great job for England. Botham got off to a great start but when he was made captain of england he started deteriorating. And as his career came to a close he had gotton worse.

yes Flintoff is better then botham.Flintoff must learn to manage the different situations, when is the right time to bowl himself and when is the right time to hold back.

I don't agree to be honest.
Botham is a legend, and although he could himself be contraversial, he was a superb all round cricketer.
I personally don't think Flintoff comes anywhere near Sir Ian Terence Botham!! :)
